Job Role at Cygnet Law

Since joining Cygnet in 2007, Lindsey Ashton has been an integral part of the team.

Lindsey initially began her career as a Legal Secretary in the conveyancing department, but soon moved to the Public Law department supporting Peter Medd. She has continued progressing throughout her tenure since being promoted to Clerk and is now a qualified Chartered Legal Executive.

Lindsey works predominantly in the Pre-Proceedings department within our Public Law team. Her responsibilities include children's matters, offering advice and assistance to Local Authorities concerning child protection issues, letters before proceedings, and initiating care proceedings.

Awards & Qualifications

Following her previous education, Lindsey embarked upon part time studies while working full time to achieve her Bachelor of Law degree, graduating in 2008.

Lindsey later continued her studies, achieving her Cilex Law School Level 6 Diploma in Law and subsequently became a Chartered Legal Executive on the 14th November 2023.

Lindsey's Interests

Lindsey enjoys spending time in the Lake District with her family, where her two young sons and dog keep her on her toes.
